Bishop Hattie Caddell Obituary

HATTIE BRANCH CAMPBELL-DAVIS-CADDELL, was born in New Madrid, Missouri February 21, 1933, to Abb Thomas Campbell, Sr., and Mary Anna Tiggs Campbell. Hattie Blanch was the 4th of seven children born to this union. Her parents, five brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

She received her formal education from nursing school as a Registered Nurse.

She married Walter Davis, Sr., and to this union three children were conceived: Shari Lynn Davis-Brown, (Son) Unknown and Walter Davis, Jr.

She re-married Ernest Caddell, Jr., and to this union four children were conceived: Angela Grace Caddell, Alicia Yolanda Caddell and (Twin Sister) Unknown and Mary Catherine Caddell-Taylor.

She became a Christian and attended church in her home town. She became a member of Meditation Temple in 1969 under Pastor Mother Marion Morris. Upon the passing of Pastor Morris, Hattie continued her Christian journey at Spiritual Temple under her sister, Bishop Mildred Carter. Later, Spiritual Temple merged with Meditation Temple, and she continued her membership with co-pastors, Bishop Mildred Carter and Bishop Barbara Stewart. She was elevated to the bishopric in 2001 and served faithfully until the Lord called her home.

Hattie was employed with Horner G. Phillips Hospital and Malcolm Bliss Mental Health. She eventually retired as a RN but worked private duty at various nursing homes to include Parkside and Little Flower.

She leaves to cherish her memories and celebrate her life, her son, Walter Davis, Jr.; four grandchildren, Christopher Davis, James Davis, Angelica Caddell-Brown, and La-Vincent Taylor; six great grandchildren, Tahliyah Davis, Mehkiyah Davis, Kendrick Davis, Gabriel Brown, Eljah Brown and Paisley Taylor; and a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews, two sisters-in-law, Mary Campbell and Mary Campbell-Scott; her church family, neighbors, and friends.
