Miss Rawlincia Smith Obituary

RAWLINCIA N. SMITH, affectionately known as "Raw Raw" was born December 4, 1987 in St. Louis, Missouri She was the beloved daughter of Rawlin Smith and Necco Smith. Both parents preceded her in death along with her grandparents, Leroy Charles Fisher and Betty Smith; and her aunts and uncles. Rawlincia's Uncle Donald was the last living child of the family of ten children. Uncle Donald diligently assisted in the care and support of Rawlincia until his death June 6, 2020. Rawlincia was very close to Uncle Donald! Rawlincia's journey ended November 20, 2020 at.1:00 am. 
 

Rawlincia accepted Christ at an early age. Her faith in God was strong. She often stated how she trust her faith and hope in Jesus, especially during her illness. She believed in the power of prayer. Rawlincia was a member of Born Out of Worship Ministries, located at 4451 Forest Park Avenue, St. Louis, MO. She loved her Pastor - Rickey Jones and her church family. 
Rawlincia was educated through the Normandy School District. She graduated in June 2006. Rawlincia enjoyed reading novels and her favorite author was "Zane". She had a great work history and worked in retail with St. Louis Job Corps. She later started working as a Home Healthcare Aid Rawlincia took pride in providing care for those who were unable to take care of themselves. She worked diligently until her health failed her and she became "disabled".

Rawlincia fought a great fight without complaining. She and her mother had a wonderful caring spirit and loved showing genuine compassion toward others. Rawlincia lost her mother at the tender age of 22. Necco entrusted Bobbie Nunley-Strong, her best friend and God Mother, with Rawlincia to guide and support Rawlincia. It was a great honor for Bobbie to advise and support Rawlincia. Rawlincia affectionately called Bobbie "Mom." She will forever live in Bobbie's heart and memory. 

Rawlincia met Charles Franklin Watts in 2007. They shared one child together, Charles Nicholas Watts who was born December 15, 2007. Rawlincia cherished and loved her son. He was always her best accomplishment in life. As life became more challenging, Rawlincia entrusted the care of her son with his compassionate and loving grandparents Mary A Lewis-Ervin and Johnnie Ervin. Rawlincia shared a special sisterhood with her son's aunt - Veronica Lewis for over thirteen years. 

Rawlincia loved life. Her carefree spirit allowed her to experience travel, theater, music and eating at her favorite restaurants. Her favorite food was "chicken." Rawlincia learned to cook her chicken wings at the age of nine in her mother's kitchen! She loved celebrating birthdays and special occasions with friends and family. 

Rawlincia leaves to cherish her memories her son, Charles Nicholas Watts; her devoted and loving brother, Rodney Smith who shared an unbreakable bond Rodney passionately cared for

Rawlincia until her death. He will miss their late night conversations, laughing and joking with each other. Rodney enjoyed and couldn't resist spoiling his baby sister. Rawlincia was blessed with a blended family. She loved her sister from another mother, Rochelle Cooper and her step mother - Mrs. Ola Mae Smith, step brother, Kenneth Cooper; Godparents, Bobbie and Harold Strong, and a host of cousins and special friends. Rawlincia's special friend Anthony Foster will cherish her memory forever.
