Mr. Justin Darnell "Jay" Buggs

Justin Darnell Buggs was born  on As a youth Justin was baptized and raised up in Christ Southern Mission Baptist Church. 

Briefly when his father relocated to Kansas City, Justin attended the Longview Elementary School. After relocation back to St. Louis, MO he attended St. Louis Public Schools. His favorite subject in school was Math and he tutored other students in this subject. He also attended Harris Stowe State College. 

Justin was a very energetic child growing up and loved spending time and having fun with his siblings and cousins. He was active from a youth in sports. He played football, baseball, basketball and bowling. Football was his go to sport. He was a running back and defensive end for Matthew Dickey's Football league. This skill and love of football carried over into high school at Mehlville Sr. High and Beaumont High Schools. During his last two years of high school playing football for Beaumont H.S., his name appeared every week in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch for his precision skills and speed on the football team. During this time, he was ranked as the number one running back. 

He worked various jobs in construction and warehouse as a laborer. 

Adding to Justin's legacy and lineage are two beautiful children whom he dearly loved. With Ashley Criss he has a son, Jaylyn, and with Angelica Scales he has a daughter, Ariyah. Because of his two children, his lineage will carry on. 

On Saturday, November 27, 2021, God saw fit to blow away the last dust of imperfection and gently carried Justin to his new home. 

Justin leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Regina Graffread-Campbell; father, Gregory L. Buggs; step-father, Chris Campbell Sr.; two children, Jaylyn and Ariyah; maternal grandmother, Glenda Phinizee; siblings, Jasmine Curb-Dungo (Jeffrey), Chris Campbell Jr. (Hope), Mark Buggs (Ashley), and Ericka Buggs; nieces and nephews - Cam'ron, Angelina, Sara, Monroe, Jeffrey, Rose, Quashawn, Faith, Chrissy, Kendrick and Isaiah; aunts, Ramona Watson, Linda Simms (Martin), Brenda Buggs and Alberta Wooten (Hal); uncles, Keith Graffread (Patricia) and Oliver Buggs (Brenda); his first cousins who were like siblings, Lashonda Perkins, Ashley Glover, Glenn Perkins, Nicholas Simms, Gralin Glover, Megan Simms, Lashawn Perkins and Leah Gullet; and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends.
