Mr. Kenneth Johnson Obituary

KENNETH EDWARD JOHNSON was born on November 17, 1937 in St. Louis, MO to the union of Jack G. and Beatrice Edwards Johnson. Kenneth was the th child out of 16 children. He was educated in the St. Louis Public School system.

Kenneth (Kit) as he was fondly called by all, has always led and lived a joyful and productive life. He married his beautiful bride Diane on April 21, 197 4 and to this union one beloved daughter was born. Kenneth loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his daughter and all his grandchildren. He loved sharing stories with each of them and shared them as a proud grandfather. Kenneth also had a love for singing and certainly dancing. He would dance at the drop of a hat and often referred to himself as "The Modern Day Dancer." Even though Kenneth devoted much of his time to his family, he found time to participate in various leagues for his favorite sport "bowling". He and Diane both shared the same passion for bowling until their health began to fail.

As the kind-hearted man he was, Kit was known to help others, whether by transporting them to the grocery store, a doctor's appointment, or even helping his older sister with odd jobs. Kenneth was a busy man, but always made time to visit the sick or took time out of his day to check on his loved ones. He was truly an example of a man being led as God instructed him. On January 6, 2021, Kenneth "Kit" departed peacefully at Barnes Hospital. Kenneth will be deeply missed but remembered as a caring and gentle man.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Jack G. and Beatrice Edwards Johnson; and 10 siblings.

Kenneth leaves not to mourn, but to cherish his fond memories, his loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Diane; daughter, Kennetha; 4 grandchildren, Michelle, Uriyah (Akiva), Kenneth, and Mariah; 4 great-grandchildren, Elisha, Nala, Nehemiah, and Kai; 3 sisters, Jeanette, Carolyn, and Ruth (Robert); 2 brothers, Reginald and Roland; 1 sister-in-law, Shirley Qames); 1 brother-in-law, Eugene (Sharon) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

"As he: dances with the: angels, he: will be missed
by all who knew and loved him."
