LAMAR ANTON FOSTER A.K.A. "DOC," was born on May 4, 1969, in St. Louis, MO to Loretta Foster. Doc was the oldest of two children. He was preceded in death by his mother, Loretta McClain, grandparents, Leroy and Elnora Foster and Catherine McClain.
Doc was educated in the Chicago, Illinois public school system, where he completed high school at Fenger High School in 1987. Later, after the passing of his mother, Doc moved back to St. Louis, MO where he began dabbling in the arts of painting.
Doc began courting a young lady by the name of Tracy P. and within that relationship came his eldest daughter, Inisha, and son, Hakeem. Later Doc met Wanda G. and within that relationship came his baby girl, Zharia.
Doc worked various occupations but found painting to be his calling and became known as "Da Paint Doctor." Years later, after mastering his love for painting, he decided to explore other career opportunities by acquiring his CDL to transport trucks over the road. He enjoyed traveling and found comfort from the cares of the world. After years of traveling across the United States, he became homesick and returned to his love for painting. Doc always was the person who enjoyed life and people to the fullest. He always made his presence felt everywhere he went.
To cherish his loving memory, Doc leaves his children, Inisha Rodriguez (David), Hakeem Carter, and Zharia Gant; one granddaughter with two grandchildren on the way; his stepfather, Richard McClain (Kim); brother, Matrell McClain (Lashonda), his Godmother, Patricia Finley, two God-sisters, Markita Finley and Tamra Wilson (Dennis); and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.
