Mrs. Betty “Lynn” Overton-Little was born June 15, 1955 in St. Louis, MO to the union of James and Irma (Williams) Overton. She graduated from Vashon High School and later on obtained a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice. She was employed at St. Louis Public School System, working as a teacher at Peabody Elementary School.
At an early age, Betty confessed a hope in Christ. She was baptized and placed her membership at Westside Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed being around family and friends, listening to music and having a good time. Those who knew her will remember her by her infectious smile.
Betty was preceded in death by her brother, David Chandler; father, James Overton Sr.; her mother, Irma Minor; and recently, her husband, Gregory Little.
She is survived by her children Sheryl (James) Myers, Brandi (Brian) Gregory and April Overton, her grandchildren Fierra (Desmond) Foster, James “Tink”, Danielle and Charlee. As well as her great-grandchildren Jayden and Houston. She is also survived by her siblings Doug (Lucille), Gerald, Karen, Mary, James Jr., Pamela (Tony) and Regina.
