Celebrating Her Journey
Donna Michelle (Loyd) Bailey was born to Johnnie Loyd Sr., and Freddie L. Loyd on October 14, 1965, in Saint Louis, Missouri. She was the baby girl out of 12 siblings. Both parents, a sister Barbara A. Quinn, and two brothers Percy Loyd and Johnnie Loyd, Jr., preceded her in death.
Donna professed Christ at an early age. She actively served as an usher and participant of the Women’s Ministry at New Paradise Missionary Baptist Church until her health began to decline. She later joined Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
She was educated in the St. Louis Public School System and was a proud alumnus of Beaumont High School. She worked as a cashier at Schnucks and as an Assistant Manager at Big Lots before retiring medically.
Donna was a compassionate person who always showed love and kindness to everyone she met. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life like shopping, eating, getting mani/pedis with her “BFF Jackie”, but most of all spending quality time with family - especially her grandchildren.
Donna leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband and friend Dana Bailey; two sons- Darnell (Heather) Loyd, and Patrick Williams all of St. Louis, Missouri; seven grandchildren- Brenton, Darnell Jr., Jacobi, Iziah, Jeremiah, Niyanna, and Desiree; three sisters- Debbie L. (Shawn) Davis, Doris A. (Stephen) Wallace, and Janet (Thaddeus Sr.) Griffin; three brothers- Donald Loyd, George A. (Wilma) Loyd, and Ronald D. (Nikki) Loyd; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends
