MATOKIA OLETHA HOWARD-MORRIS was born in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Marvin Howard and Ophelia Howard on July 15, 1961. She was the only child to this union.
Matokia confessed her love for Christ at an early age and was a member of Third Presbyterian Church since 2007. She was an active member of the church and a part of the Kitchen Ministry until she became ill. Matokia loved cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She was loyal and true to her beliefs.
Matokia moved to Maryland in 1978 after she graduated from Labour's High School. While in Maryland, she attended Strayer Business College. She gave birth to her only child, Andre Hill, Jr., while living in Maryland She moved back to St. Louis in 1990 and started working for Elaine Stevens Beauty College. She worked at the beauty college for 29 years and was known to all as "Ms. Mae." She was well loved by the staff, students and clients at Elaine Stevens.
Matokia expressed kindness through love which was exhibited on a daily basis. She would always offer a helping hand and words of encouragement. She departed this life peacefully on Saturday, November 21, 2020. She will be greatly missed.
Cherished memories will be embraced by her husband of 15 years, Stanley Morris, her child, Andre Hill, Jr., a loving nephew, Patrick {Dana) Edwards; a loving niece, Gloria Coburn; her loving sister, Denise Thompson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
