Ms. Bertha Lee Green

Bertha Lee Green was born May 24, 1950, to Allen and Georgia Green. In addition to her parents, Bertha was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Jones, and one daughter, Crystal Lynn Green. At the age of 6, Bertha moved to Chicago, IL, where she remained until the age of 14. Bertha then moved to St. Louis, MO, where she attended Gunlock Elementary, Langston Middle School, and Vashon High School.

Bertha was a very hard worker and rarely missed a day of work. Early in her life, Bertha worked for Falcon Products for 15 years, and Drury Inn and Friendship Village for over 20. 

From an early age, Bertha learned, knew, and believed in Christ and was baptized. Over the years, she rededicated her life to God and was baptized again at One Way to Holiness Apostlic Faith Church, where she remained a member until her passing.

On April 8, 2021, God called His daughter home from labor to reward.

Bertha leaves to cherish precious memories: her children: Roshanda Green, Nicole Green, Erica Brooks, and James Green; grandchildren: Kelvin Brooks, Toieka Simmons, Alonzo Ford, Jamayah Crumble, Andrew McCaster, Tyshon Ford, Crystal Green, James Green, Jr., and Jamie Green; six great-grandchildren; siblings: Norma Lane (Kenny), Georgia Garrett, James Green (Loretta), Ernest Green (Deloris), Linda Green, Bernard Green (Andrea), Dewayne Green (Sharon), Gregory Green, Allen Green, Jr., and Alvin Lewis (Vicky); aunt: Bertha Jean Bell; and a host of nieces and nephews.
