SYLVIA WYATT was affectionately known as "Syl" was born in Augusta, Arkansas on November 21, 1953 to Maynard Wyatt and Adah Partee who preceded her in death. Her siblings, Edom, Terrence and Tamra also preceded her in death.
Sylvia attended Sumner High School and had a love for making ''potholders" as a pastime.
Syl gave her life to Jesus Christ at a young age at the True Light Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. E. Stanley Howlett. She later united in fellowship with the Cathedral at Pleasant Grove under the leadership of Bishop Courtney A. Jones. Sylvia was a faithful and dedicated disciple. Her commitment to tithing and giving will never be forgotten. She was known for her charismatic approach to worship. Her responses to praise and worship, fellowship with the saints and her presence at special events was second to none.
Her love for her God, her family and her church were consistently demonstrated and will be cherished a lifetime by her two children, Natasha Wyatt, Darris Wyatt (Tanya); three grandchildren, Imani, Darris Jr. and Kaylani; three siblings, Milton (Mona) Williams, Tanya (Kenne) Taylor and T ritobia (Courtney) Jones; God-given family, Andrea, Michelle and Marvin Neals; a host of loving cousins, nieces and nephews, friends and her wonderful caregiver, Maria Gordon to whom we are eternally grateful.
