REFLECTIONS: WHO WAS SANDY?

Sandy was a woman who could do it all, known for her passionate love for Christ; she demonstrated that love towards everyone she met. Selflessly she came to the aid of many innumerable times. She was a rock and a shoulder to lean on, a woman of integrity and morals who believed in doing right by others, even when others didn't do right by her. She was a strong yet a gentle woman who knew what she wanted in life. There was nothing and no one that could stop her from doing what she set her mind to do. Sandy lived and demonstrated Philippians 4:13 ("I can do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens me.") on a daily basis.

If you really knew her, you knew that she loved to live, laugh, cook, sew, garden, walk daily for miles, give wise counsel, make self-made fashions, pray, shop, bowl, go to the annual blues festival and vacation trips with her best friend, Cheryl Thomas. God allowed her to defeat cancer three times prior to her more recent diagnosis. Most people would've given up after the first time, but Sandra was a fighter. She taught her three daughters, Alyssa, Tammy, and Jennifer to fight; not physically but spiritually through prayer. One of her favorite prayers was short yet powerful "Lord, allow thy perfect  will to be done. Not mine...but yours in Jesus' name!" She uttered  the same words prior to the Lord calling her home, just days before her death.

Sandy always left you with an encouraging word to trust God, and uplifted spirit, and made it known that she was praying on your behalf. God broke the mold the day that he created Sandra K. (Greer), Bailey. He called his warrior home to receive her rest. She will be greatly missed, but we know she's in a far better place now.
