Warren Rufus Scoggin

A Time to Be Born 
WARREN RUFUS SCOGGIN was born December 3, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the only child born to the union of Richard Rufus and Margaret Levinia Scoggin. 

A Time to Learn 
Warren was educated in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. He attended Riddick Elementary and was a graduate of Sumner High School in 1954. He later attended Hadley Technical School. 

A Time to Work 
Warren worked for Norfolk and Western Railway Company. He retired in 1999 from Huntleigh Airline Service Corporation of St. Louis Lambert Field Airport. 

A Time For Love 
Living and working in St. Louis, Warren met the love of his life, Vinia Nicholson. They married July 9, 1956 and to their union three children (two sons and one daughter) were born. They celebrated 63 years of love. He was a hard worker and great provider for his family. 

A Time to Play 
Warren was an avid outdoorsman and truly enjoyed agriculture, mingling with friends and bargain shopping. He also enjoyed eating his granddaughter's (Shanoa Davis) pound cake that she would make upon request. 

A Time to Die 
On Monday, March 23, 2020 at St. Luke's Hospital - Warren passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Margaret Scoggin, and one son, Bryan Scoggin. 

A Time to Mourn 
He leaves to mourn his passing, cherish his memories, and celebrate his life - his loving wife of 63 years, Vinia Scoggin; one son, Daryl Scoggin; one daughter, Jataun Alberty; sister-in-law, Delores Bady; brother-in-law, John Nicholson; sixteen grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
